The 2026 Run of the Mill Trail Runraiser is proudly presented in partnership with Velo Amis.\u00a0 This 3rd annual do good, feel good donation based trail charity event takes our runners and walkers through the beautiful and historic Brandywine Creek State Park, in the heart of Wilmington, Delaware.\u00a0 Home to many cross country races including the Delaware cross country state championships, this event's course will challenge you and give you a run for your money!<\/p>\n
Proceeds from this year's event will benefit these three Delaware non-profit organizations -\u00a0<\/p>\n
These cycling organizations evoke the strong bodies and perserverance of our next generation through the sport of mountain biking, emphasizing the values of inclusivity, fun, equity and respect.\u00a0 The park provides all of us the enviornment to help nurture our bodies and souls.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
The marked course will remain open for 4 hours, making it hiker friendly for both the 5-miler and the 10-miler distance.\u00a0 5-miler participants: please carry your own hydration\/nutrition.\u00a0 There will be one un-manned water only<\/span> aid station\u00a0only<\/span> for the 10-mile participants around mile 4.5 and mile 8 along the 10-mile course.\u00a0 Porta-potties available at the start\/finish. \u00a0We love pets, but please keep your pets home. \u00a0Pets aren\u2019t allowed on the course with participants \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n In the event of unsafe weather conditions, participants will be notified on Friday, 11\/6, with the chance of moving the event to Sunday, 11\/8.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Registration is donation based and required.\u00a0 With a suggested donation of $25, it gives you a ticket to enter for one of our raffle prizes <\/strong>(via the donation button here on the race webpage, or at https:\/\/runsignup.com\/Race\/Donate\/DE\/Wilmington\/RunOfTheMillMilerWalkRunTrailRunraiser<\/span><\/a> <\/strong>).\u00a0 Why is it donation based?\u00a0 Because as an avid trail runner myself, I see how costly some events can get.\u00a0 Much of the philosophy for this event is rooted in encouraging community coming together and keeping trail running accessible to all.\u00a0 So you get to decide what is a reasonable cost to participate!\u00a0 I do not feel the cost to participate should be a barrier.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Your donation does create a positive ripple effect, not only in getting more kids outdoor and on bikes, but also in keeping our park accessible and beautiful.\u00a0 It speaks volumes about commitment to one's community.\u00a0 Crossing that finish line will feel rewarding and meaningful!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
