See how far you get.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Grit City Backyard Ultra is Tacoma\u2019s take on the backyard ultra format: a 3.33-mile loop through downtown Tacoma\u2014 featuring the Bridge of Glass, the Glass Museum, the Tacoma Dome, and generally gorgeous city views\u2014 repeated every hour on the hour for up to 15 hours. Show up to the corral in time for the next lap, or take an honorable DNF! Complete all 15 laps \u2014 50 miles total \u2014 and you\u2019re a finisher!<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t let the big numbers discourage you\u2014 finishing the race is not an expected goal for most participants\u2014 but having fun is! This race is about the hours in between: watching the course empty out lap by lap, grabbing a grilled cheese between loops, and seeing who\u2019s still moving as the day wears on.
