BlueCross Riverbend Run/Walk

As a part of the Riverbend Festival, Saturday morning June 11, BlueCross BlueShield of TN will be joining forces with Friends of the Festival to host a 5K, 10K & 1mile Run Walk event to help benefit the Children's Hospital at Erlanger. Race Day Registration: 6:30-7:30am
10K race start time: 7:30am
5K race/fun run-walk start time: 7:45am
1 mile fun run-walk start time: 8:00am

Location: 200 Riverfront Pkwy, Chattanooga TN 37402
(underneath Hwy 27 Olgiati Bridge on Riverfront Pkwy.)

- Early Bird registration now-May 30  $28
- Early registration June 1-10 $33
- Race Day registration on site June 11 at 6:30am $38

Parking
Free parking at either of two locations
- in old Newton Chevrolet lot on Riverfront and MLK Blvd.
- in BlueCross BlueShield lot on the corner of MLK Blvd and Gateway Ave
(shuttle service available down to start finish line)
- allow plenty of time to park and get to the starting line by your designated start time

Packet Pickup
- Wed June 8 at main campus of BlueCross BlueShield from 4:00-6:30pm

- Thur June 9 at Hixson Academy Sports from 6:00-9:00
- Friday June 10 at Hamilton Place Academy Sports from 6:00-9:00
- Race day June 11 at the start finish line from 6:30-8:00am

Courses
- runs through the festival grounds along the river
- crosses both the Walnut St and Veterans bridges
- see map for full details of all races
- 5K and 10K courses are UST&F certified

Awards
- cash prizes for the top finishers in each of the 5K and 10K races
- medal awards for the top three finishers in each 5 year age bands for both races 

NEW this year: cash prizes for the fastest final 1/2 mile finisher for both the 5K & 10K races.
- presented immediately following the races on the Bud Light Stage
- must be present to win cash prizes

Refreshments
- several water stops available along the race routes
- Water, Powerade, Bananas, etc will be available upon completion

Restroom Facilities
- Portable toilets are located throughout the festival grounds

First Aid and Safety
- EMTs and trained personnel will be present
- Course sentry's will be scattered throughout the race course

- no refunds, race will be held rain or shine
