This race takes place on the property of the R.Springs Sportsman's Club. It consists of grass, gravel, water, and mud! There is some steep hill sections to climb as well as to descend. The mud and water section entails going through the back part of a pond. This means lots of mud!! If you like cross country running, this is your race!! The walk consists of a small portion of the route WITHOUT the pond portion or the hills. There are no shower facilities. The course has been modified over the last few years with a couple of low level obstacles added. Also, you get to go through water, after the mud, which usually washes away almost all of the mud!!!
Due to COVID-19, special guidelines are in place. Masks will be required for everyone, when not able to keep greater than 6 ft. from others. This means before the race, at the starting line, and after the race. When starting out the race, as soon space between runners is 6 ft. or greater, masks may be pulled down. There will be sanitizer available at the water station, finish line, and awards tent. All registration and awards will be outside, in front of the Sportsman's Club. Please bring an umbrella if there is a threat of rain, as the tent will not be large enough to safely shield everyone from the element
Restrooms will be available, with entry into the club house, one at a time!
Events will be limited to 50 each, 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk. All ages welcome! If under 18, parental signature necessary! This means that you agree to all of the COVID-19 guidelines for your child!!!!
All proceeds benefit the Richfield Springs Community Center! Come on out, have some fun, and prepared to get nice and muddy and wet!!
Lots of hills, mud, and more mud!!! The first 75 entrants receive a beverage glass. Age groups start at 14 and under, 15-19, and then every 10 years with 80-89 being the last. Awards consist of a special home baked dessert!! Come join the fun and support the center!!!
