South Mountain 10 Miler & 5K

These traditional fall events start and end at Saucon Park along Rt 412 between Bethlehem and Hellertown, Pa (convenient to Rt78). The 10-mile course is a challenging course whose middle miles use South Mountain Drive to run on South Mountain surrounded by Lehigh Valley autumn colors. The 5K course is largely flat along Saucon Creek and the lower elevations at the foot of South Mountain. The races have become must-do events among the Lehigh Valley runners with bragging rights to the mountain runners. The suburban and rural roads used by the courses are not closed to traffic.

Time: 9:00 am – Check in from 7:30-8:45 am (No race day registration; NO REFUNDS.)
Entry Fee: $25
Age Groups: 15-19, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+ (60-64, 65-69, 70+ in the 5k only)
Awards: Thanksgiving turkey’s to First Place Male and Female overall Open, Masters and First Place Age Group Winners. Must be present to claim awards. No duplicate awards.

Amenities: Post-race food. Raffle includes turkeys and gift certificates to Aardvark and Emmaus Run Inn. Long-sleeve t-shirt to the first 300 registrants.

Directions: Saucon Park is located off Rte. 412 between Hellertown and Bethlehem. Take the Hellertown/Bethlehem exit off I-78. Turn right off exit toward Bethlehem and travel about 1/2 mile. Park entrance is on the left. Race check-in is in the picnic pavillions near the swimming pool (not the ball fields) at Westmont St. and Millside Dr.
