Go Global Leadership Race

We are seeking to step alongside the next generation of leaders and disciple makers for Scripture Union as we engage the global community.

This project will support the attendance of SU-USA president, young ambassador and board chairman to attend the 2024 Global Assembly in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  We also seek to help SU movements around the world with less access to funding sources to send their young ambassadors.

The theme of the gathering is ‘Bridging the Gap’ will help us focus on how the SU Global Family can help build ‘bridges’ in this increasingly polarized world. The imagery is to highlight the difference between different sectors of society, culture, ideology, and beliefs – e.g., between the young and old, between those with and without good digital access, between those with opposing political leanings, between different theologies and approaches to Christian life, along with other ‘hot’ topics.

All SU national movement Chairpersons and National Leaders are expected to attend. We are thrilled to have our president, Gail Martin and board chair, Mildred Webber Holmes attend and engage with the international SU Community.

This is an exciting opportunity for our young ambassador, Owen LaRocca, to represent and be an ambassador for the United States on the global stage. There will be 50 young ambassadors attending, each representing SU in their country. It will also be a great experience to work alongside other leaders from around the world.
