Description
Get your “buds” in gear and join the National Cherry Blossom Festival for the inaugural Spirit of Spring 5K virtual run/walk. Race registrants receive a limited edition 2020 Festival shirt and a collectible 2020 commemorative pin featuring the artwork of Frederick, MD artist, Matt Long. If participating in the 5K with your dog, the first 200 participants to sign up as "+ DOG" receive an adorable doggie bandana and collapsible water bowl for your furry buddy too - supported by Mars Petcare.
Proceeds from the Spirit of Spring 5K enable 2021 Festival programming and benefit the CherryTree Endowment, which provides funds that support the care and maintenance of the cherry trees on the National Mall.
Registration is open October 20 through November 8. The Spirit of Spring virtual 5K can be completed by running or walking a 5K distance anytime, anywhere between November 6 and November 15. Embrace and spread the feelings of hope and renewal that accompany the blooming trees each spring by virtually grabbing your friends and family, and register today!
Swag Bag Pick Up
For participating in the Spirit of Spring 5K, you will receive a swag bag including a 2020 National Cherry Blossom Festival lapel pin, race sticker, and shirt featuring artwork from the 2020 National Cherry Blossom Festival's official artist, Matt Long.
Your Cherry Blossom Swag Bag can be picked up at White House Gifts located at 701 15th NW, Washington, DC on Saturday, November 14 or November 21 between the hours of 10:00am and 6:00pm. Participants will enter the store and a sales associate will direct you to the back counter for pick-up.
If you prefer to have your Cherry Blossom Swag Bag mailed to you, please make sure you have selected that option during your registration process. A $7 shipping fee will apply. The swag bag can only be sent to addresses within the United States.
