William E. Laubengeyer wsa born in Philadelphia. He was formerly from Vineland and summered at Laurel Lake for many years before moving there full time in 1977. He worked at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard prior to World War II and had worked on the Battleship New Jersey. He was a World War II Navy veteran. William worked for Wheaton Scientific in Millville for more than 20 years, retiring in 1985. William was a longtime member of the Board of Directors of the Laurel Lake Property Owners Association. He enjoyed boating and water skiing on Laurel Lake. He enjoyed carpentry work and built houses for each of his children. He was a family man and devoted his time to his family.
