ALERT: THE 2023 EVENT IS A TUESDAY - SUNDAY EVENT THIS TIME! This was at the request of the hosting city.
ALERT: COVID RESTRICTIONS WERE LIFTED AND WE ARE RUNNING THE INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY 'ON AIR' THIS SEASON!
ONLY 350 SPOTS WILL BE OPENED FOR THIS EVENT!!
Our registration process for this event has changed, so please read the following instructions:
1.> THIS SITE ONLY REGISTERS AND GUARANTEES YOUR SPOT TO COMPETE AT WORLDS 2023! You are not selecting your categories at this time!
2.>Your registration fee of $150.00 will provide you with a total of six (6) category runs during our Wildcard qualifying days. You choose whatever categories you wish. Our goal is to save you money!
IMPORTANT: ALL REGISTRANTS WILL RECEIVE A SEPARATE EMAIL TWO WEEKS BEFORE WORLDS WITH A SPECIAL ACCESS LINK INTO OUR REGISTRATION SYSTEM. AT THAT TIME YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO SELECT YOUR SIX (6) CATEGORY RUNS. STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE PROVIDED AT THAT TIME ON HOW TANDEM AND RELAY TEAM MEMBERS CAN BE CONNECTED IN THE SYSTEM.
3.>Only one registration per person please. This allows us to accommodate as many international competitors as possible. At this time, you cannot pay an additional $150.00 for an additional six (6) runs.
4.>A few days before our World qualifying rounds begin, we will notify all registered competitors via email on any news regarding if additional space remains. If we do there will be no additional charge for our already registered friends to take the remaining space on a first-come, first-served basis.

Only one registrant per email address please! Otherwise, the system will not allow you to select your categories down the road!!!

Competitors qualifying to move into the Title Earning Category Competitions on Saturday and Sunday will do so at no additional cost.

You can use your six (6) run choices during Wildcard days however you want.

Runs are non-transferrable and must be used by the same registrant. If a competitor desires to compete in less than six (6) categories, they can but will not receive any credit for the unused portion of their registration.

The number of available slots in each age/gender category that will advance into Finals will be determined on the first day of the event when all registrations have been closed and we have the appropriate data to finalize these numbers. An announcement will be made on Wednesday.
ATTENTION TEAM CAPTAINS
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT EACH MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM INDIVIDUALLY REGISTERS FOR THE EVENT SO THEY CAN SIGN THE WAIVER FORM, BE ABLE TO SELECT THEIR CATEGORIES, AND RECEIVE IMPORTANT EMAILS!!!

CANCELLATION POLICY
An Event Registration Fee is refundable only if First Responder Institute, the 501(C)(3) tax-exempt umbrella organization of the Firefighter Challenge, cancels the Event. For the avoidance of doubt, Participant is not entitled to any refund once Participant is charged the Total Event Fees, except as expressly set forth below.
Canceled and Rescheduled Events
You bear all risks of inclement weather. You also understand and agree that First Responder reserves the right to cancel the Event for any event that is beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, in the event of weather (and further including, but not limited to, pandemic, epidemic, heat, tornadoes, earthquakes, fires, storms, lightning and floods), accidents, acts or threats of war or terrorism, military conflicts, riots, government order, law or regulation, national or regional emergency or for any reason that would in the sole discretion of First Responder affect the safety and security of Event participants and/or spectators or the feasibility of the Event. You agree to hold First Responder harmless from any claim of any kind or nature that you may bring that is related to any cancellation or disruption of the Event. In the event of an Event cancellation for any reason, there will be no refund of your payment unless authorized by First Responder. If an Event is canceled, and you purchased your Event Registration through the First Responder site, you will be permitted to transfer/defer your registration to another Event, as set forth below. If First Responder issues you a refund for an Event Registration due to a canceled or postponed Event, First Responder will issue a refund of the Event Registration Fee and for all service fees paid. If a refund is issued, it will be issued using the same method of payment that was used to purchase the Event Registration. First Responder is not liable for travel or any other expenses that you (or anyone else) incurs in connection with a canceled or postponed Event.
Refunds and Transfers
Before purchasing an Event Registration, carefully review your purchase. First Responder does not offer a refund of Event Registration Fees for any circumstances. You agree that you will not attempt to evade, avoid, or circumvent any refund prohibitions in any manner with regard to an Event Registration that you purchased. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, you will not contact First Responder to seek a refund. You will not dispute or otherwise seek a “chargeback” from the company whose credit card or the online payment method you used to purchase an Event registration from the First Responder site. Should you do so, your Event Registration may be canceled and First Responder may, in its sole discretion, refuse to honor pending and future Event registrations made from all credit card accounts or online accounts on which such chargebacks have been made, and may prohibit all persons in whose name the credit card accounts exist and any person who accesses any associated online account or credit card or who otherwise breaches this provision from using the site in the future.
