COVID-19
Each year for the past 21 years the Hoboken Harriers Running Club has brought the community together to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with our 5 Mile Run and 1 Mile Kids Race all to support the great work of Jubilee Center in Hoboken.
We have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation in the hope that we would be able to announce a postponed date for the 2020 race, but with the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Hoboken and the uncertainty around timelines, we have sadly had to face the reality that we need to cancel the 2020 HOHA Classic, with the hope of trying again later in the year.
This is particularly devastating to us as all proceeds from our race are donated to the Jubilee Center of Hoboken and they need our support more than ever now. The Jubilee Center has been closed since March 16th, the closure and resulting loss of income is particularly hard for the Jubilee Center's dedicated staff whom Jubilee families entrust with the health and safety of their children every day.
We understand that COVID-19 has impacted many people, as such we are offering three options to our participants:
Option 1: Donate your entry fee to the Jubilee Center. You may request your full refund to be donated to the Jubilee Center, donations will support the Jubilee Center to continue to pay their staff during this crisis, and ensure that they can return to providing high-quality, out-of-school time academic enrichment when the Jubilee Center re-opens. Option 2: Get a refund of your 2020 entry fee. Although we have incurred some expenses for the event already, we will offer you a full refund of your entry fees. All refund requests will be processed by May 31. Choose this option on event page here
Option 3: Defer your entry to the 2021 HOHA Classic on May 8, 2021. Your 2020 race fee is not refunded. Choose this option by logging into your account, instructions here.
