Run Against The Traffic

Hi!!  My name is Travis Pope.  I am a 14 year old Freshman here in Utah and I LOVE to Run.  A little while ago I found out about the non profit organization called Operation Underground Railroad (OUR).  I was curious about what they did.  I soon discovered that OUR rescues children from sex trafficking.  I had no idea that children were being sold by really bad men and women.  What makes people do this kind of thing to another person?  These kids are forced to labor without any pay and are given extremely harsh living conditions.  I also found out that A LOT of kids are being sold as sex slaves.  This really upset me.  Nobody, let alone kids, should be forced into this kind of life. 

Now remember, I am only 14 and can't go out and save these kids myself.....BUT I can do something about it!!  Running is my passion so I decided to organize a virtual 5K/10K run to raise no only awareness of this awful situation,  but to raise funds to help save more kids.  I am calling it RUN AGAINST THE TRAFFIC.

Please join me April 5th - April 11th and Run or Walk (or Bike or Swim or Scooter or whatever gets you moving) a 5k or 10k and do your part to save these kids.  All the race proceeds will directly benefit OUR.  I would also encourage you to purchase a T-shirt from Bonfire.com so that you too can raise awareness and help others become aware as well.
