Description
Join us for the 5th Annual Rotary Club of Sulphur 5K Jingle Bell Jog in Sulphur, Louisiana on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 5:30PM.
Jog through the most well decorated street in Sulphur at Christmas. Take in the sights and sounds of the holidays then stick around to enjoy the festivities that Christmas Under the Oaks offers at Heritage Square.
The mission of the Rotary Club’s Jingle Bell 5k jog is to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy a fun, healthy, family friendly, pre-Christmas activity. Proceeds from this event utilized for the Rotary Club of Sulphur's Sulphur High Scholarship fund.
Packet Pick-Up
Registered participants need photo identification and the confirmation receipt from RunSignUp.com for packet pick-up. Proxy pickup is allowed for immediate family members, husband/wife/sibling, with identification.

The Rotary Club Jingle Bell 5K run is a timed and scored event. The official timer and scorer for this event is Race Pace Multisport, L.L.C. Times for this event will be posted

Bib Assignments
Each runner will be issued a bib number at Packet Pick-Up. It is the responsibility of the runner to wear the bib during the race.
Race bibs are to be worn on front of abdominal area throughout the race.
Runners without bib numbers while on the course will be removed for security reasons.
Please remember to fill out the Emergency Medical Information on the bib number.
Age Group Categories & Awards
Awards will be issued to the following categories for the 5K Jingle bell run:
Overall male and female
Top male & female runners in each age group: 0-12,13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 years and older
The 1Mile fun run is not a timed/scored event. Awards will not be issued for the 1mile fun run.
Registration Questions
All registrations are non-refundable. Registrations cannot be transferred/ deferred to alternate year.
Registration officially ends December 6, 2022 at 11:59PM
T-shirts are provided to registered participants who register by Monday, November 14, 2022. Extra shirts may be purchased in the store for $20 per shirt through Monday, November 14, 2022.
Weather
The races will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area, the race will either have a delayed start; route may be altered, or depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled. If fog present, the visibility will determine if delayed start is necessary. The Race Director from the Rotary Club of Sulphur will make the determination.
Please note this is a night time run. Wear bright colors and a headlamp.

Travel west on I-10 toward Texas
Take exit 20 LA-1256 N/Ruth St
Travel north on Ruth St approximately 0.9 miles
The Grove and Heritage Square will be on your right hand side after passing Capital One Bank
From Texas:
Travel east on I-10 toward Lake Charles.
Take exit 20 LA-1256 N/Ruth St
Turn left onto LA-1256 N/Ruth St
Travel north on Ruth St approximately 0.9 miles
The Grove and Heritage Square will be on your right hand side after passing Capital One Bank
Parking
With Christmas Under the Oaks and Holiday House taking place, parking will be limited. There is FREE parking available at The Grove in Heritage Square (1211 Ruth St. Sulphur, LA 70663). There will also be additional parking at the empty lot of the Old Tyne Variety Store located on the corner of Cypress St and S Ruth St. Parking at Frasch Elementary School and Sulphur High School is encouraged. However, carpooling is recommended. We encourage courteous behavior toward our neighbors; refrain from parking in grass or on the streets. No parking on Ruth Street or Pecan Street.
Hydration Station & Medical Aid
One water/electrolyte station will be stocked along the route. The station will have water and PowerAde product. There will also be a drink station at the finish line. Sulphur Police Department will be available for medical assistance as needed.
Post-Race Party
Come for the run, but stay for the party! Post-race refreshments include bottled water, hot cocoa and PowerAde.

Many food and beverage vendors will be on site to satisfy your post race cravings.
Lost and Found
The Rotary Club of Sulphur is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost items that were found and turned in will be returned to the Registration desk after the event. Contact Race Director via phone 337-405-8183 or by email stephen.benoit@b1bank.com to request your lost item. Items not requested identified or requested within two weeks after event will be donated to local non-profit agency.
