The Lainey Project 5K

The Lainey Project, Inc. is a Non-Profit Organization that was created in the memory of Lainey Paige Smith. Lainey passed away on April 17, 2019 by suicide as a result of
pressures from bullying and her battle with anxiety and depression. Lainey was the light in her family’s lives, she was brilliantly smart, and absolutely gorgeous. Lainey’s sister and mother, Haley and Stacey, began The Lainey Project, Inc. as a way to raise awareness about suicide, anxiety, and depression, and to raise awareness about bullying and what bullying looks like. All of the proceeds collected by The Lainey Project, Inc. is donated in Lainey Smith’s name to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and various local anti-bullying organizations to help others that are in Lainey’s shoes and feel they have nowhere else to turn. 

•••All participants 11 years of age and older MUST sign up here (via runsignup.com) by AUGUST 31, 2019 to insure a shirt!!!  After August 31, 2019, we cannot guarantee a shirt for the race. There will only be a limited supply of shirts available on race day!•••

Children ages 3 to 10 are $10 and must be registered on Facebook at www.facebook.com/thelaineyproject on the  designated post. Any children under the age of 3 are free.
