Description
Come join Anchor House Coffee Roasters and friends, for our 1st annual 10k/5k Race to End Slavery! We have teamed up with Love Justice International, who is fighting against human trafficking in 25 countries around the world (Having intercepted and prevented over 29,000 people from being trafficked).
Join the fight on August 6th in Buckley Washington, as we run the Foothills Trail (out and back) to support those who intervene in the moments between slavery and freedom, working on the front lines in the hard places to find the vulnerable so they never have to carry the identity of a slave.
We will be gathering outside the Buckley Youth Activity Center that Saturday morning. 10k race to start at 9:30 and the 5k race starting at 9:45. Award ceremony and celebration to follow race at 11am. Food trucks, free cold brew, and children’s activities will be available for all attendees.
We will have an award ceremony immediately after the race and will award Top three overall (male/female) for 10k and Top three overall (male/female/15 and under) for the 5k. BuDu Racing will be chip timing both the 10k and 5k.
We will be offering a gear check.
