Hello! My name is Charlene, I am a long distance swimmer with a love for our Great Lakes.
On November 10, 1975, the SS Edmund Fitzgerald tragically sank as a result of a severe storm. In August of 2025, the year of the wreck's 50th anniversary, I and 67 other swimmers will complete the remaining 411 miles of her journey.
In honor of those 29 members of the Fitz's crew lost in the accident, we are accepting donations to renovate the Whitefish Point Lighthouse-- an essential structure for the navigation of Lake Superior.
