Remember that Journey song, "Any Way You Want It"? We've created a Virtual Run/Walk Challenge where you can choose to run, walk, bike, kayak, paddle, or get on a treadmill...any place in the world...at your own pace. You're in control - it's any way you want it! Just register, complete your activity any time from Tuesday, December 1 through Thursday, December 10, log your distance as you go and check the leader board daily. And don't forget to submit your best photos to compete for amazing prizes!
Virtual challenges can be completed anywhere in the world. You choose the time, the views and surface. You can get up early and bike, go out on your lunch break and jog or walk the sidewalk, take a run along the beach and enjoy the sunsets or use the treadmill on a rainy day. You can set your own goals or challenge your friends, family or coworkers - wherever they might be - and turn your participation into a fundraiser for good.
If you're local, we will be hosting a pick up location for your swag. If you're outside the local area of Indian Rocks Beach, FL, we will ship your packet. Simply let us know which you prefer when you sign up.
GOOD IS THE NEW COOL. The proceeds of the Virtual Run/Walk Challenge will help fund IRB Action 2000 beautification projects across Indian Rocks Beach. This includes maintenance, planting and materials for the 10th Ave Mini Park, 12th Ave Park, 3rd Ave/CVS area, County Park, and the butterfly garden at City Hall - that's a lot of mulch and shell! It will also cover the materials needed for cleaning the 12 pedestrian shelters and lighting replacement at the Yacht Basin. Our goal is $6,000 - to help cover the annual cost of project maintenance.
Your donation is tax deductible. IRB Action 2000 is a 501(c)(3) organization. There is no shirt or medal but you will earn an amazing sense of accomplishment that your contribution has made a difference in keeping IRB beautiful. Learn more about our projects go to www.irbaction2000.com/projects.
The truth is we just couldn't make this happen without our sponsors. In fact, these sponsors are really A2K partners - we have the same goals - to beautify and preserve our beautiful coastal town and maintain it's small town atmosphere. Even in these challenging times, each one of these companies didn't hesitate to say "yes" to support this fun, community event. Together, we are making a difference.
