Thanksgiving Day Apple Cup 5K - Produced by Hi5K
Calling all Turkey Trotters to run (or walk) in the 6th Annual Thanksgiving Day Apple Cup 5K!!!
This is an Awesome way to celebrate both Thanksgiving AND Apple Cup at the same time!!!
Come sporting your Husky or Cougar colors!!! If you are not a Husky or Coug, sport your own colors!!! Or, if you want to, dress up like a Turkey - we just want you to come out and have fun AND receive an official 5K chip-timed result.
Event Information
The event will be held at Green Lake Park in Seattle. The course is a 5K on the paved loop around Green Lake with the final stretch coming around the ball fields (see course links below). From a runners perspective - this course is legit, dope, sick, wicked, 'da bomb - 'ya feel me!!! And it is flat and fast if you are after a PR.
We look forward to you joining us in this exceptionally high quality event.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must register you and sign the waiver that will be presented during the registration process, otherwise if you are 18 you may register yourself.
Race Day (Thanksgiving Day) Schedule:
7:45AM - 9:10AM:
Bib Pickup at Green Lake softball fields (East side of Green Lake - Look for Hi5K Tents). You may also drop off any canned food items you'd like to donate at this time. Day-Of-Race registration available at this time as well.
***To receive your bib quicker, please bring your registration confirmation email - it has your bib number on it!

Podium Awards Begin - Top 3 in each age category (Male/Female awarded separately).
Age categories are as follows 1-11, 12-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
9:50AM - 10:40AM:

Bib Pickup:
There is no bib pickup prior to race day. Please pick up your bib between 7:45AM and 9:10AM at the starting line tent on race day.
Course Info:
Start/Finish area is at the Greenlake Community Center basketball courts on the East side of Greenlake. From the start, the race will head west toward the lake and then make an immediate right-hand turn to begin a counter-clockwise loop around the Green Lake on the inner paved path. At approximately mile 2.8 there will be a right hand-turn to exit the inner path and begin a counter-clockwise lap around the play fields (softball / soccer area). The final turn (at "Turn and Burn" corner) will be a left-hand turn with 200 meters remaining to the finish (time to kick! - it's slightly downhill too).
Timing: This is a chip-timed event. Timing is provided by Bell Lap Productions.
Weather: Prepare for cold or inclement weather (It's November).

Did you know that Thanksgiving is the biggest food day of the year! This race is helps support local food shelters in their efforts to fight hunger in Washington State. If you can, please bring any non-perishable or canned food item to the race and we'll happily drop it to one of the local food shelters we support.

Can I participate with a stroller?
Absolutely - we are stroller friendly.
Can I run with my dog?
Unfortunately no, USATF (USA Track & Field) will no longer insure or sanction events that allows dogs.
