Description
The Chautauqua Striders Athletic Club is a running and walking club organized through Chautauqua Striders. Chautauqua Striders began life as Chadakoin Valley Athletic Club in 1979. As Striders has grown over the last 40 years, and added academic, mentoring, and social emotional programs to their athletic services, it was renamed Chautauqua Striders and the Athletic Club was created.
Striders operates a number of running events throughout the year, notably the Winter 5K Series, and Runner of the Year Series (sponsored by KeyBank). Two races featured in the Runner of the Year Series (St. Pat's Dash, Daniel Feather Memorial 5K.) are managed by Striders.
All ages are welcome to join for organized runs and races, or volunteer at races as a course steward. Members get discounts for the Winter 5K Series, the majority of Runner of the Year Series Races, along with other incentives (defined below).
Chautauqua Striders is an organization whose mission is dedicated to the mentoring and guidance
of youth through education, advocacy and athletics.

Membership Levels
Adult Membership (18+)
Your membership includes:
- Eligibility to accumulate points for the Runner of the Year Series (prizes awarded for overall male & female, overall masters male & female and top age group finishers male & female.
- Email notifications about Chautauqua County Races
- Calendar list of ROTY races
- Monthly Emails with standings, relevant information, upcoming events, etc.
- 10% discount for Winter 5K Series
- 10% discount for majority of the Runner of the Year Series races.
- Invites to Club social events such as the annual ROTY Banquet which features cocktails, food, a guest speaker and an award ceremony.
- Members will receive complimentary Striders gear.
- Members are encouraged to provide feedback on races in the series and the club as a whole so that we can ensure our runner's experience with these events are satisfactory.

The line up for the 2024 Runner of the Year Series has been SET! See below for the official race calendar.
In order to earn points in the 2024 ROTY Series, you must have an active Striders Athletic Club membership. You also must participate in at least 3 races in the series. Age group and overall winners will be recognized at the annual banquet, which features cocktails, food, a guest speaker, and an award ceremony, that will be held in January of 2025.
