Rockford Road Runners

A running club for runners of all ages and abilities, the Rockford Road Runners was formed on September 17, 1968 and has been running together for 50 years! We have over 500 members comprised of students, individuals, couples, families, businesses and other organizations that help support running and a healthy lifestyle in our community. The Rockford Road Runners is 501c3 non-profit club affiliated with the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).

The prime objective of Rockford Road Runners is the promotion and encouragement of running and walking, and the education of the public as to their benefits. The club conducts races, educational activities and social events; publishes a monthly electronic newsletter, scores club members in race circuit, maintains a website, www.rockfordroadrunners.org  with race calendar, race results and more.

The Rockford Road Runners club and members also support a free youth running club the Rockford Wildcats, www.wildcat.rockriver.net , and Annie’s Locker  www.annieslocker.org  which collects and distributes new and gently used running and fitness gear to people in need as well as supporting many in our community who might not have the opportunity or encouragement needed to get fit and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
