The Willamette Valley Road Runners' mission is to support and encourage a healthy approach to running and training for runners of all ages and all levels of ability. Through the camaraderie of a club atmosphere, members enjoy running for the purpose of general fitness as well as personal and team goals. As a group the Willamette Valley Road Runners participates in, as well as promotes, running and fitness related events and activities throughout the communities of the Willamette Valley. A Salem running and racing club formed by the merger of Phidippides Running & Walking Club and the Willamette Valley Striders on January 1, 2002. Member of Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). Our club is dedicated to running for fitness and fun for runners of all ages. Many of our members compete regularly at distances of 1 mile to 100 miles on the track, road and trails.
In addition, the Willamette Valley Road Runners Club asks you to consider a separate donation to the Kelsy Oldham Memorial Scholarship Fund to support local student-athletes.
