The Ketchikan Running Club (KRC) is a 501c(3) non-profit organization. The purpose of this organization is to improve the physical fitness and mental well-being of its members and the community through the promotion and encouragement of running, walking, and other physical activity. Membership is open to runners, walkers, and any other interested parties. Your membership fees help to fund annual scholarships for local high school runners and also help KRC purchase insurance for races and upgrade racing supplies.

In 2025 KRC awarded 3 scholarships to Ketchikan High School seniors in the amounts of $750 to Sarah Weyhmiller, Carol Frey and Clara Odden. Congratulations to them for being members of our active community and taking their education beyond Kayhi.
