The purpose of the Honolulu FrontRunners/FrontWalkers is to provide encouragement and support to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and other people who are interested in running/walking. To further that purpose, the Honolulu FrontRunners/FrontWalkers organizes weekly runs/walks, monthly dinners, and other social events conductive to the encouragement of running/walking. In 2018 the Honolulu FrontRunners/FrontWalkers sponsored the inaugural Honolulu Pride Run/Walk 5K.  With the exception of 2020 and 2021, due to COVID, the Honolulu FrontRunners/FrontWalkers Pride Run has been held since then.
