Big Sky Wind Drinkers Membership Waiver for Club Membership

I know that participating in and volunteering for runs, social events, and races with this club are potentially hazardous activities, which could cause injury or death. I will not participate in any club events unless I am medically able and properly trained; by my signature, I certify that I am medically able to perform these activities, am in good health, and I am properly trained.

I attest that I have read the rules of the club and agree to abide by them, and by the club Code of Conduct stated below. I accept the right of any official to deny or suspend my participation for infractions of the rules, medical reasons, or any reason whatsoever. I assume all risks associated with participating in club activities which may involve: falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity or extreme cold, traffic and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I understand that bicycles, skateboards, roller skates or roller blades, animals, and personal music players are not allowed to be used in club organized activities, except where specifically permitted for a given event, and I agree to abide by this rule.

Having read this waiver and knowing these facts, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Big Sky Wind Drinkers, RunSignUp, and the Road Runners Club of America, all club sponsors, their representatives and successors from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation with the club, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons named in this waiver. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record for any legitimate promotional purposes for the club.

Big Sky Wind Drinkers Code of Conduct

The Big Sky Wind Drinkers support the fitness endeavors of all members and participating members of the public, regardless of race, creed, color, nationality, age, sex, or sexual orientation. We expect all who participate in our club activities and events to respect the rights and dignity of fellow participants, event volunteers, and spectators. Discriminatory or intimidating actions, including, but not limited to, the following, will not be tolerated, and may be grounds for immediate removal from club events and/or membership:

· breaking rules of fair competition, such as course cutting or falsifying run times,
· yelling at, taunting, or threatening others with violence,
· using abusive or vulgar language, or making racial, ethnic or gender-related slurs or derogatory comments,
· making unwanted sexual or physical advances or contacts with others

We expect all participants in club events to support a welcoming and non-hostile environment for others. We ask anyone who observes violations of the rules set forth in this Code to report them to the club Board of Directors, in writing.
