Participant, Musher and/or Minor Liability & Consent Release Form

I (and/or on behalf of my minor child) understand by signing this form and paying the required fees, that I voluntarily agree to abide by the race rules, event rules, activity rules, and I am aware of the risks and hazards of the race, event and/or activity, and voluntarily assume all of the risks of loss, including property damage, bodily injury, death, economic loss or any other type of  damage or injury/loss that may be sustained while participating in the Two Rivers Dog Mushers Association (TRDMA) race, event, and/or activity and release TRDMA from any and all liability including any loss or injury caused by the NEGLIGENCE of the TRDMA or any cause whatsoever.

IT IS THEREFORE UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED that in consideration of designated member/participant’s participation in the Two Rivers Dog Mushers Association, TRDMA, events of any kind, the TRDMA (including their officers, members volunteers, sponsors, presenters, lecturers) shall not be held liable for any property loss, bodily  injury, death or damages incurred by the TRDMA member/participant’s family or his/her invitees while participating in such races, events or activities of any kind even if such economic or property loss, death or bodily injury is caused by the NEGLIGENCE of the TRDMA including, but not limited to and as examples only, poorly maintained trail conditions, ice, moose encounters, collisions with people or other objects in the trail, striking fixed objects, dog fights, loose dogs or sleds or NEGLIGENCE even if such conditions are caused by the NEGLIGENCE of the TRDMA and even if such risks are not inherent risks of the event.

Furthermore, should any bodily injury, death or property loss result from any person rendering assistance to a musher’s team, it is understood and agreed that TRDMA shall not be held liable even if NEGLIGENT, and all resulting property loss or personal injury is solely the owner’s responsibility.

It is further agreed that TRDMA and their sponsors may use photographs of the participant, taken at TRDMA races, events or activities for general advertising purposes and/or social media.

Finally, it is the intent of everyone that this Waiver, Release and Consent is intended to be broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Alaska and shall be construed to broadly release the TRDMA from any property loss, death or bodily  injury I may suffer when participating in an TRDMA event. BY SIGNING BELOW I ACCEPT THAT I ALONE AM ULTIMATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR MY OWN SAFETY AND FOR ANY PROPERTY LOSS, DEATH OR BODILY INJURY THAT I MAY SUFFER WHEN PARTICIPATING IN AN ADMA EVENT.

FURTHER, THE UNDERSIGNED (MUSHER & PARENT/GUARDIAN) ACKNOWLEDGE that they have read, understand, and will comply with the TRDMA By-Laws and Racing Rules, event rules, activity rules and that by signing below I (and on behalf of my minor child) understand and agree to the terms of this Agreement/Release. I (AND ON BEHALF OF MY MINOR CHILD) EXPRESSLY AGREE AND PROMISE TO ACCEPT AND ASSUME ANY AND ALL RISKS OF PARTICIPATION IN TRDMA EVENTS AND AGREE TO, UPON DEMAND, DEFEND AND INDEMNIFY TRDMA FROM ANY AND ALL SUCH CLAIMS EVEN IF CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF TRDMA.
