Bon Temps Triathletes, established in 2017, is an non-profit organization based in Calcasieu Parish in Southwest Louisiana! We welcome multisport athletes of all abilities, including newcomers, to join our vibrant community.
Our mission is all about sharing information, seeking advice, finding training and racing partners, and diving into everything related to swimming, biking, running, and triathlons. As an unbiased, non-affiliated group, we’re dedicated to creating a positive experience for all members while fostering growth and promoting the incredible multisport community in Southwest Louisiana. Join us and be part of the adventure!
Membership fee is $27 per individual. The membership is valid for 1 year.
Bon Temps Triathletes host 2 annual events. The 2025 events are as follows:

T-Gator Triathlon at Sam Houston Jones State Park in Westlake, Louisiana in June.

Pelican Triathlon, beginner triathlon, at SPAR Waterpark in Sulphur, Louisiana in August.
Bon Temps Triathletes host several seasonal practice swim, bike rides, and socials.

2024 T Gator Triathlon
T-Gator Triathlon is back! Experience this beloved event from years past and learn why this event was an athlete favorite! This race takes place in beautiful Sam Houston Jones State Park, which has received many upgrades the last few years since Hurricane Laura. T-Gator Triathlon features a 525 Meter Swim along the banks of the Calcasieu River, a 15 Mile flat and fast bike, and a 5k run through the park. This venue is as beautiful as ever and ready to provide Triathletes of all levels with an enjoyable race!
