Extra Mile Challenge
In 2024 we are going back to the original Extra Mile Challenge activities and expectations. There will only be one level to the EMC and one swag item awarded at the end of the year.
The 2024 Race List has mostly been determined: Participate by running/walking/cheering and volunteering with many members of the Metro Milers club at local race events. Upon completion of the race season, you will automatically be rewarded with some quality Extra Mile Challenge running swag.
To be eligible to qualify, you must do the following:
- Be an active Metro Miler member.
- Complete a minimum of 5 races designated below in “2024 Race List” AND Volunteer at a minimum of 2 races designated below in "2024 Volunteer List". You must wear a Metro Milers shirt or singlet during the event.
- You must attend 4 club meetings
- You must plog 4 times
*Some dates later in the year are estimates based off of previous years. Please review your monthly newsletter and the Metro Miler’s Facebook page as events near to confirm dates.
*We are looking to add 1-2 additional races to choose from, but need to confirm they are happening

- 02/03/24- STL Track Club Frostbite 3 mile or 15K- Forest Park
- 03/16/24 - St. Patrick’s 5 Mile Race - St. Louis
- 04/27/24 - Greater St. Louis Marathon
- 05/25/24- St. Boniface 5K
- 06/15/24 - Glen Carbon Covered Bridge 5 Mile Race - Glen Carbon
- 07/27/24 - Mud Mountain 5k - Edwardsville
- 08/10/24 - Watershed Endurance Run (3 or 6 hrs)
- 11/28/24 - Edwardsville Turkey Trot 5K - Edwardsville
- 12/14/24 - Pere Marquette Trail Run - Pere Marquette
