Description
The Scranton Half Marathon Training Program is designed to PROGRESSIVELY build longer distances.
In order to join any of the Training Programs, you MUST CURRENTLY BE ABLE TO RUN 3 MILES WITHOUT ANY WALKING WHILE EASILY MAINTAINING A 13:00 MIN MILE, OR RUN WALK 3 MILES WHILE EASILY MAINTAINING A 14:00 MIN MILE OR WALK 3 MILES WITHOUT WHILE EASILY MAINTAINING A 16:00 MIN MILE. This is for safety reasons since many of our workouts will be through the streets of Scranton.
Fee: $100.00
• Beginning Date: Saturday, January 24th
• Last Training Day: Saturday, April 11th
• Optional Goal Race: Scranton Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles, Sunday, April 12th
Please note that the Scranton Half Marathon Training Program registration does NOT include registration for the goal race or any other race. Workouts are coached with participants running at a defined paced with other program participants.
Discount Week: January 24th - February 1st:
Registered participants will receive 15% off of all regular priced Scranton Running Company merchandise and 20% off all regular priced Brooks merchandise. (Discount cannot be used on previous purchases and dates are non-transferable. Reward points will accumulate but cannot be with the discount)
Training Days & Times:
• Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 6:00 PM
• Saturdays and Sundays @ 8:00 AM
Location:
All groups will meet at the Scranton Running Company (SRC) on Olive Street, but other meeting locations may be announced throughout the session. Location changes will be announced at practice and via the email that you are registering with.
