Information

The Pequot Running Club is a group of fitness-conscious runners of all ages and abilities. There are some who run strictly for fun and recreation, and there are some who are fairly serious competitors. The common thread is the enjoyment of running with a group of mellow, easygoing, interesting and interested friends.

The Club, founded in 1978, meets for runs three days a week. Join us for as few or as many of these group run opportunities as you'd like.

We have an annual Clambake for our members at Westport's Compo Beach in August and a holiday dinner at a local restaurant in January. These events are the highlights of our social activities.

The Pequot Running Club is the proud organization behind the acclaimed Thanksgiving Day 5 Mile Road Race and 2.6 mile walk through Connecticut's Gold Coast. The race has become a holiday tradition throughout the region.
