The Momentum Cross Country camp will take place between October 14th and October 25th 2024. This fun and educational camp is for athletes entering 3rd grade through those in 8th grade. The camp will meet at the east pavilion at Palmer Park near the wading pool between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. The camp will end with a 1 mile or 5k race to be held at Optimist Park on November 2nd. This camp includes a Momentum Cross Country hat and a snack and drink after practice.

In addition, our club encourages participation in several cross country races that are coming up this fall.

First up is the USATF Wisconsin Cross Country Championships at UW-Parkside in Kenosha on October 27th. For this race, distances are run as follows:

• 8u: 2,000 meters (1.2 miles)
• 9-10: 3,000 meters (1.8 miles)
• 11-12: 3,000 meters (1.8 miles)
• 13-14: 4,000 meters (2.4 miles)
• 15+: 5,000 meters (3.1 miles)

Next up is the Foot Locker Cross Country Midwest Regional at UW-Parkside in Kenosha on November 30th. For this race, athletes in middle school will run 3k while athletes in high school will run 5k.

Finally, those that run the USATF Wisconsin Cross Country Championships and finish in the top 15 in their age group will have the opportunity to participate in the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships to be held at the Blue River Cross Country Course in Shelbyville, Indiana on December 14th.

All members are required to have valid USA Track and Field membership to participate. The USATF Membership allows for entry into many USATF sanctioned events throughout the year and also provides the club with insurance as well. When you register with USA Track and Field, you will need to be affiliated with Momentum Track club.
