Membership fees are used for expenses such as the club's insurance costs through the Road Runners Club of America. Membership benefits include: (1) discounts on regional races, on BRC gear, and at sports-related retailers; (2) RRCA membership and RRCA Footnotes publication; (3) group runs and training runs; (4) access to training partners of all abilities; and (5) year-round social activities. The BRC is involved in organizing and conducting the Belleville Main Street Marathon and St. Clair County Law Day 5K and Kids Run and is involved in Belleville's adopt-a-trail program and the Belleville Chili Cookoff; the club offers 5K and marathon training programs; and the club participates annually in the River to River Relay in Southern Illinois.
The BRC meets for group runs several times a week. The club also holds regular meetings, which are open to all members and the public (see bellevillerunningclub.com for more information).
