Description

The Inaugural Pennsauken, NJ Run For Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 6,  2018.  All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

RACE COURSE

This Certified Timed Race and Kids Fun Run will be held in Cooper River Park at the Jack Curtis Stadium, 5300 North Park Drive in Pennsauken, New Jersey. Cooper River Park (346.55 acres) runs through Pennsauken, Cherry Hill, Collingswood and Haddon Township. The park is bounded by North and South Park Drives, Route 130 and Grove Street.

PARKING

Free parking is available on both sides of Jack Curtis Stadium, as well as on North Park Drive.

PACKET PICKUP

Pre-race Packet Pickup: To Be Announced

Day-of packet pickup will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.. on October 6th at the Jack Curtis Stadium race site. 

 PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female overall finishers, age group winners, and the top 3 ostomates.

T-SHIRTS

Tech T-shirts will be included with registration if registered before the deadline. Race shirts will be either unisex or female v-neck cut. You are guaranteed a race shirt if you register by September 20th. You may purchase additional race shirts for $10 each.

OPTIONAL OSTOMY POUCH

Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on the pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies. 

FAMILY ACTIVITIES

The Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be a family friendly event including kids' activities during the event.

FUNDRAISING 

Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATION link at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.
