Did you know that more than 6700 women in Miami-Dade County are diagnosed with cancer each year? Chances are, you know one of these mothers, sisters, grandmothers, or greatest confidants. A woman wears many hats in her family, and it can be a challenge to manage those roles when she becomes ill. Imagine the difficulties that her family would face when looking at 4-6 months of treatment, if not more.
305 Pink Pack is a Coral Gables-based 501©3 organization committed to bringing community, advocacy, and hope to women in active cancer treatment in Miami-Dade, by providing them with free services that enable them to focus on healing. Programs include transportation for appointments, child-care, housekeeping, self-care, mentoring, and emotional support. We, at 305 Pink Pack, know it’s important to relieve these women of some of the additional stress and financial burden that accompanies a cancer diagnosis.
