Celebrating its 30th year in 2025, Loudoun Wildlife is the most comprehensive environmental organization in Loudoun County. LWC's mission is to protect, preserve, and restore wildlife habitat, and members and volunteers accomplish that mission through citizen science, education, habitat restoration, and conservation advocacy. I know, I'm a bit biased as I run our Stream Monitoring Program, which focuses on tracking the health of our streams through biological and chemical surveys and Salt Watch testing, raising awareness of how individuals can decrease pollutants into our streams, and educational outreach programming to our community and in our school system. But seriously, LWC and the work its volunteers do is AMAZING and incredibly valuable.
