Sparrow’s Nest was founded in 2012 with a simple mission: to provide home-cooked meals to families of Moms in the Hudson Valley who were facing a cancer diagnosis. The charity fed just 6 families during that first year. Today, our expanded mission includes delivering meals to the families of all caregivers of children under the age of 18 and all children diagnosed with any type of cancer. Our refrigerated truck travels nearly 500 miles each week, delivering our home-cooked meals to more than 275 people in 5 counties of New York State. Thanks to our generous supporters, Sparrow’s Nest never turns away a qualified family.
