A Magical Journey Thru Stages is a 501(c)(3) youth community theater in Rochester, New York. Stages’ programs involve diverse youth, grades 1 - 12, in high-quality theater programs, fostering self-confidence, personal growth, and learning. Annually, over 600 students from the Greater Rochester area perform in plays and musicals for over 6,000 audience members (over half of which are youth). Our dedicated staff, professional artistic teams and volunteers offer a supportive, inclusive, encouraging environment for kids to explore their creative talents. Stages is theater for kids who have a passion to perform, learn technology, or be involved in a youth professional show.
Although theaters in New York State remain closed for performances due to COVID-19 restrictions, A Magical Journey Thru Stages has pivoted to offer a number of theater enrichment opportunities this fall. Our offerings include scene studies, dance, acting and technology workshops and college audition prep. Students can pick from both in-person and virtual options. If and when theaters are given the green light for performances, we will be ready to welcome students back to experience the high quality, fully produced shows we are known for.
