I have taken on the challenge of completing the 1st annual Exceptional Opportunities Virtual Run, Walk, Push or Peddle 5k. Exceptional Opportunity's mission is to enable children, with special needs, to be active family members, successful students, and productive members of the community, by providing adapted equipment and assistive technology for the home environment. I understand that especially during this time of social distancing, Children with special needs, need and deserve the equipment and technology to be active and as independent as possible.
In addition to completing the 5k, I have set a goal for myself to fundraise $200 to do my part in making sure children with special needs have the equipment and technology they require.
