Bob is our reason. A cure is or cause.
Almost everyone has been impacted by the devastating impacts of cancer and our family is no exception. Bob Lindorfer, the MVP of our ACS fundraising team, was diagnosed with stage 2B pancreatic cancer in July 2021. After months of aggressive chemotherapy treatments and a very invasive Whipple surgery, he received the "all clear" in August 2022—only to discover a few short months later that the cancer had not only come back in his pancreas, but had also spread to his liver and lungs. Bob passed away peacefully at home on October 1, 2023.
Every dollar makes a difference
2023 was our flagship year fundraising as a team for the American Cancer Society on a larger scale and our efforts truly served as a bright spot for Bob during difficult treatments and progression of his cancer. We started with a goal to raise $10,000 and landed at a staggering $50,625! While these funds did not change the ending in Bob’s story, our hope is that funds raised will help continue to drive critical research and support resources to impact the ending for many others. Our family honored to pick up the torch and continue his love and legacy in an effort to do it AGAIN in 2024!
