Story

At 75 years old, Rich Williams is taking on a nearly 5,000-mile motorcycle journey across the United States to raise awareness and support for children living with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders around the world. Rich’s mission is deeply personal. His son, Trevor, was diagnosed with severe Hemophilia A at age five, and doctors once warned that he might not live past 18. After decades of navigating the challenges of hemophilia and the U.S. healthcare system, Rich is grateful that Trevor is now 37 and living a full, active life. But Rich knows that access to lifesaving treatment made Trevor’s story possible, and that thousands of children around the world do not have the same opportunity.

This year, Wheels for the World is more inclusive than ever, welcoming participants on all types of wheels, including motorcycles. Rich is taking part on his vintage 1980 Honda Gold Wing, riding nearly 5,000 miles across the country from August 20 to September 13. Through Save One Life, he has seen firsthand how much a child’s access to treatment can depend on where they are born. Now, he’s turning his passion for riding and his family’s story into action. Donate to Rich’s ride and help provide hope, support, and opportunity to children and families living with bleeding disorders around the world.
