Tory was an old soul, he loved classic rock & old country, his Chevy pickup, a good bonfire, time for fishing, his puppy Maui and time with his MANY family & friends. A smile and laugh that could light up any room, a voice that loved karaoke and dance moves that, well.....I'm not even sure how to describe them! In Tory's presence, you couldn't help but to have a great time! He was a son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, and a friend that made all of us proud! Tory loved to be around "his" people & they, in turn, loved to be in his company! Tory never walked away from meeting someone new without quickly becoming a new friend. He never met a stranger! Even after 5 1/2 years, We're still in disbelief. How did we not know? Tory's family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, fellow Marines, none of us knew of his suffering. He was "that guy", the guy that would always make sure that everyone else was ok, that guy that didn't like to see anyone else upset, that guy that was always looking out for others, that guy that was ALWAYS smiling. How could this happen? Well, it did & here we are 5 1/2 years later, still wondering & questioning. Our only comfort now is holding on to the many wonderful memories we have of and with Tory AND to do all that we can to save another family from ever having to go through this pain. We'll continue to share "Tory's Story" in hopes that it helps even just one person. We'll walk, we'll volunteer, and we'll talk to anyone in need.
