For many of us, the past 14 months have been extremely difficult. Unfortunately for the members we serve at Friendship House, it has been even harder. Due to COVID restrictions, many of our members have been unable to come to program which means they cannot participate in our training programs as well as they are unable to see their counselors and friends face to face. We are grateful we have been able to provide telehealth services, but it simply is not the same as face to face interactions. Over the past 14 months some of our programs have been able to be open and then had to close due to raising COVID levels, which is extremely difficult for our members. Still, other programs had to remain closed the entire time. We are grateful that by mid-May we will be able to have all of our programs open and we cannot wait to welcome back even more members - nothing beats being in person!
To celebrate our members being able to return to program and highlight May as Mental Health Awareness Month, please consider making a tax deductible donation to help Friendship House continue to provide outstanding services (including clinical, prevocational training, job coaching, day habilitation, etc.) to the members who need them most.
