As an adult, my sister Kelly was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma and passed away almost four years later. I also have a friend with a similar story. Both were trying to prolong their survial with the current therapies and seeking new treatment options when they passed away. Although the initial shock and sting of their diagnoses and deaths have passed, I want to help ensure that families and loved ones in the future are spared this kind of loss.
