Hi! I'm running/walking/rolling 5K in support of YWCA Princeton and their mission to Eliminate Racism and Empower Women. They pursue this through targeted programming designed to address the byproducts of inequity: affordability and access. These programs include: The Burke Foundation Early Childhood Center - offering affordable childcare with every classroom now fully bilingual. This program removes barriers to workplace participation for women while closing the early achievement gap for both low-income children and English language learners. Another impactful program is English as a Second Language for adults, which removes barriers to workplace participation and enables parents to communicate with their children's teachers. In addition, the Breast Cancer Resource Center provides Early Detection Education workshops targeting low-income and high risk women, providing them with resources for free cancer screening and mammograms. The BCRC also provides free wigs, bras, prosthetics, healing arts, support groups, and fitness classes all at NO COST. Finally, YWCA Princeton provides racial literacy workshops and advocacy year round! Please donate to support their incredible work today!
