In April I’m participating in a 5K and raising funds for Visions & Pathways in memory of Joy Mathiowdis. She was someone who had integrity, tremendously cared about others, and role modeled leadership. Her positive mindset and willingness to roll up hers sleeves and get things done was unparalleled.
Visions and Pathways is a non-profit organization that provides emergency and long-term support for teens who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, abuse, or addiction.
Kids helped by Visions & Pathways have broken lives. Some are shattered; some have just a small crack. Some show no physical signs of damage - the scars are on the inside. Visions & Pathways help them put the pieces back together, build their self-esteem and acquire the skills they need to thrive by providing; food, housing, counseling, education assistance, arts and recreation activities, career and employment counseling, scholarships and financial literacy instruction.
Your donation to my run will help meet their day-to-day expenses such as food, bedding, heat and electricity, recreational activities and counseling services. Whatever amount you can donate, will make life easier for teens trying to deal with the trauma in their lives.
