Join me in making a splash for marine life! I'm braving the Arctic Seal Plunge to support the critical work of the National Marine Life Center (NMLC) in saving vulnerable seals and sea turtles.
On February 16th, 2025, at 11:00 AM, I'll join fellow plungers at Onset Beach to dive into the frigid waters of the Atlantic. While our few moments in the cold are voluntary, many young seals and sea turtles face these harsh conditions while fighting for survival.
NMLC rescues marine animals who are caught unprepared for New England's brutal temperatures – whether they're seal pups separated from their mothers too early, late-migrating sea turtles, or injured animals unable to cope with the cold. Without intervention, these creatures face exhaustion, illness, and worse.
Your donation directly transforms into life-saving care. Here's how your gift helps:
- $10 provides a full day of fish for a recovering marine animal
- $25 covers a critical i-STAT test to check blood gas and electrolytes
- $50 funds an entire week of fish for a sick or injured patient
- $100 supplies two weeks' worth of fish for ongoing rehabilitation
- $250 enables diagnostics, supplements, & medications for about a month
- $500 delivers complex supportive care including fluids, injections, and nutritional supplements vital for extended recovery
Will you help me make waves for these amazing animals? Every contribution, no matter the size, helps NMLC continue being a lifeline for marine wildlife in need. Together, we can give these animals a second chance at life in their ocean home.
Thank you for considering a donation to this incredible cause!
