Hi!
As many of you know, I am an AFE survivor. The AFE Foundation introduced me to a community of strong, ambitious women that helped me through my trauma post-AFE. The AFE Foundation is the only organization in the world that is working tirelessly to end AFE.
I am taking the Step Up For Moms: 40,000 Step Challenge to benefit the AFE Foundation and to help spread awareness, a cause that is important to me personally.
What is the AFE Foundation?
The Amniotic Fluid Embolism Foundation, a non-profit organization, was established in 2008 to reduce maternal and infant mortality attributed to amniotic fluid embolism while helping those impacted navigate paths forward. Learn more at www.afesupport.org.
What is AFE?
Amniotic fluid embolism (AFE) is a sudden and unexpected life-threatening birth complication that can affect both mother and baby. It affects 1 in every 40,000 births and is often fatal.
How can you help?
