I am a GBS (Gillian-Barre Syndrome) survivor. I am four and half years into my recovery. Before the incident, I used to love walking and hiking. Indian peaks wilderness was my favorite place to hike.
I have progressed from power wheelchair to manual wheelchair, then the front wheel walker and now, a rollator walker. I hiked Judd falls at Crested Butte last summer with my walker.
My adaptible recumbent trike gives me wings. I attended a mountain biking workshop last year at Bend, OR arranged by OAS.
Borrowing Emily Grodin's words, "So that is where I see myself, tomorrow, in five years, in ten. On the move. Constant motion, always progressing. "
