I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support patients at Craig Hospital through participating in Pedal 4 Possible: At the Raceway on October 14th.
Craig Hospital is a very special place and, if you've ever interacted with a former patient or been to the campus, you know this is true. Craig goes above and beyond the typical rehabilitation therapies to meet each patient's needs and give them the tools and resources necessary to achieve independence following an injury.
Important programs, such as Music Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Assistive Technology, the School Program, research, and Community Reintegration are just a few of the extra services that Craig Hospital offers, which help patients rebuild a life filled with possibilities. The Therapeutic Recreation program was especially helpful to me in my travel back to "normal." But these programs are not covered by insurance! And they rely on supporters, just like YOU.
In my case, Craig helped enormously in getting me ready to be out there and in getting me ready with my personal issues that resulted from my accident. I am so grateful.
