You all know my story. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family and friends and am indebted to Craig Hospital in so many ways.
This will be my fifth P4P ride in support of Craig Hospital (one was virtual due to the pandemic). Five years post SCI I can report that I continue to gain. I'm able to ride a power assisted tricycle for over 20 miles (with a low level of assist), and "compete" in the upper quartile of Peleton Beginner rides of up to 30 minutes. Pain is always an issue but I'm managing it well as I try to build endurance and increase VO2 Max. This is the my biggest challenge - working hard enough to gain benefit but not so hard as to exacerbate Hypertonicity/contracture and neuropathy.
You have all been most kind in supporting Craig Hospital over the years. Their mission as always is to rebuild lives damaged by catastrophic injury. I ask again for your consideration but understand you all have other worthy causes.
Semper Ultra!
Kevin
ps: Allie got married! Can you believe it!
