Restore The Wonder is a non-profit located in Cape Girardeau, MO that exists to help foster kids restore their wonder.
In the United States there are over 400,000 kids that sleep in a borrowed bed, in a borrowed home, with borrowed parents. That’s heartbreaking. But we believe although we can’t do everything, we can do everything we can.
Through a week at Summer Camp, our goal is to offer foster children a week of restoration. We do this through the use of the outdoors, water activities, crafts, and through the counselors and staff of the camp. This week can help kids briefly forget about their pain and build positive relationships.
We know that one week isn’t enough time to solve all their problems, but it’s a start. We believe in the power of a moment. One moment with God changes everything. If God can create the entire world in 6 days, what could he do in a little boy and girl’s life in 4 days?
