As I race to finish breast cancer, I am fundraising for The DONNA Foundation. The DONNA Foundation provides hope, support and financial relief to those living with breast cancer.
During COVID, a friend of mine and manager at FIS was diagnosed with breast cancer and succumbed a year after being diagnosed. She was in a pivotal era of her life. In her early 30's, taking on a new distinguished role as internal and external communications manager. She had a husband and a young son that she cherished dearly and fought every day for them. As one of her employees, I experienced first-hand how cancer impacts loved ones and everyone around them. I was in awe of how she tactically managed her professional career, personal life, and doing it all with a smile and a positive attitude in-between her doctor appointments, treatments and COVID! She was thoughtful and cared about everyone. There is no one like her, she never gave up and she will never be forgotten. I am running for her.
